Panasonic MINAS A6 servo drives span the full range of control types. The A6SE is the standard pulse-input drive; the A6SG adds RS485 Modbus; the A6SF is the multifunction pulse/analog drive with full-closed control and Safe Torque Off; the A6N runs on Panasonic's fast RTEX network; and the A6B is the EtherCAT (CoE) network drive. All share 3.2 kHz response and 23-bit encoder feedback.

What is the difference between Panasonic A6SF and A6B?

The A6SF is a multifunction pulse/analog drive with Modbus and full-closed control, used where the controller sends pulse or analog commands. The A6B is an EtherCAT (CoE) network drive used in synchronised multi-axis machines with an EtherCAT master.

What is Panasonic RTEX?

RTEX (Realtime Express) is Panasonic's fast 100 Mbit/s real-time motion network. The MINAS A6N drive runs on RTEX for multi-axis positioning with Panasonic FP PLCs and positioning units.

Do Panasonic A6 drives support Safe Torque Off?

Yes. The A6SF, A6N and A6B support STO to ISO 13849-1 PL e and IEC 61508 SIL3 for safe machine stopping.
